Suicide Attempters Group

Save the date: May 14th, 2013

Have you made a suicide attempt? Do you continue to struggle with thoughts of suicide? Do you know someone who could use support?

A Suicide Attempt Survivor support group, utilizing WRAP® as a wellness tool, for people who are struggling with difficult thoughts and emotions will be offered beginning in April 2013. This group, led by the Mental Health Association of San Francisco and San Francisco Suicide Prevention, and guided by clinically supervised peer-leaders, will provide a safe space to discuss these challenging feelings and provide space to create a dialogue of recovery and wellness, while developing an action and safety plan based on the WRAP® model for recovery.

WRAP® stands for Wellness Recovery Action Plan™. WRAP® is a self-management and recovery system developed by a group of people who had mental health difficulties and who were struggling to incorporate wellness tools and strategies into their lives. For more information about WRAP® visit: www.mentalhealthrecovery.com

Attendance is free.
